I’m Jeremy. I like to see myself as a loving human who tries his best to make the world a better place.

Years ago I read an article which suggested the story of Icarus morphed over the years to fit a narrative that a ruling class desired. As I recall, the original story did not include a warning to Icarus that we hear today. The story took that direction because the ruling class at the time decided that the peasants shouldn’t believe they might have the ability to raise to an upper class.
